Description: This is a left handed maul/grinding tool. It has several carved effigies. I tried to highlight for visual purposes only. Due to the picture quality. Really interesting piece. The majority of the body has a natural polish. The low indentations are not polished leading me to believe this is a dinosaur gastrolith originally before being turned into a hand tool. Did the individual find the gastrolith or was it inside the animal they hunted? I believe it is Serpentine with really unique patterns throughout it. It's fascinating to see how the craftsmanship incorporated the natural patterns of the stone it's self. Definitely one of my favorites!
