Description: Wonderful deck of Palekh playing cards, made in USSR circa 1967. The box is open but the deck inside is largely still sealed in original paper. I removed the cards in photos to show examples of designs. The cards appear to be unused.I believe there should be 56 card deck (two Jokers, one blank card and one cover card) but I have not removed the full deck to confirm.These are very nice cards with solid black backgrounds and beautiful artwork. Wear to box.Printed at Leningrad Color Printing Plant. I have not cleaned this item aside from a light dust off. Light soiling, dust, old age toning, dents, paint loss and rust could be present along with other minor wear consistent with age.
