Description: Extremely rare, Paiste B8 Stambul medium hi-hats that have a total Steve Jordan vibe only with better articulation than his signature hats. Matched set of identical weights at 1005g each. Made of B8 bronze aka 2oo2 bronze. Early Stambuls were nickel-silver like Ludwig Paistes. They began making B8 Stambuls like these in 1965, and these were later replaced by the 5o5 series in 1978, so these are from sometime between 1965 and 1977. My guess is these are later models as they look just like 5o5s. One cymbal has a slightly brighter sound than the other, and I'm using that one on top in the video. If you want a warmer sound, just swap 'em around. I'll miss these dearly, but a life situation forces me to pare down my arsenal of cymbals. There are no cracks, and both cymbals lay perfectly flat for excellent seal and playability. Some very minor dings on one bell and light scratches from normal use. No deal-breakers. These are simply amazing. Outstanding hammering. You can totally see these look like 5o5s in terms of hammering and shape. Very good condition as shown.
