The item has an attached tag that reads IDEAL EQUESTRIAN. MASTER CRAFTSMEN IN SADDLERY-HARNESS. ART NO. CS-903. SIZE. PONY. We believe that this item was made within the last 5-10 years. The cheek strap has 4 different holes on one end and 3 different holes on the other end that allow it to be adjusted. The last of the holes on both of the ends does not seem to really function as the other holes. These holes do not allow the buckles to lay flat when engaged. The cheek straps measures roughly 11 3/4” from end to end when adjusted to the longest length and 10 3/4“ when adjusted to the shortest length and only using the third holes and not the fourth holes. The cheek straps also measure roughly 3/4” wide and 1/8” thick at its thickest strap. The buckles appear to be made of brass and have what look like nickel pins. The buckles/pins were not attracted to a magnet when tested. The buckles have wear, fading, scratches, nicks, and areas with oxidation. The combined weight of the cheek straps is roughly 9.1 oz. The leather has shelf wear, manufacturing imperfections, scratches, nicks, dings, scuffs, gouge-type marks, and dusty areas.
