Description: PAIR of Antique Thermoplastic Union Cases 16th Plate, Berg #1-181/2, The Sleeping Friar (107) Occasionally called "The Drunken Monk" these tiny cases measuring 2" x 1 3/4" are decidedly adorable and represent both the square corner and the rounded corner castings of this design. The rounded-corner case shows some age and a dulled finish. It contains a burgundy pillow but is otherwise empty. The square-cornered case retains quite a bit of original luster and has a tan pillow, glass, frame and mat. The frame and mat show age and possible moisture damage. Both cases have excellent hinges and clasps and are without chips or cracks. They're a nice little pair. Ships USPS Ground Advantage.
