Description: Pair Antique Gene Pressler Pompeian Yard Long Framed Lithographs. "Beauty Gained Is Love Retained" is in frame that measures 11 5/8" x 30" with visible artwork 7" x 25". The other print is in frame 11 3/8" x 28 7/8" with visible artwork 6 1/4" x 23 1/2". Decent condition, one print has a newer gold matte and appears somewhat better than the other print in the original matte that has more age toning. Both frames and glass are solid & sturdy. The slightly larger frame has wear to the wood finish. See my detailed photos. The Beauty Gained print has small spot of color loss at bottom. Gene Pressler (Born 1893) was active/lived in New York. Gene Pressler is known for Figure, illustration.An illustrator who worked in New York at the early part of the 20th century, Gene Pressler worked in an Art Deco style that was prevalent at that time. It is thought that he worked for the Pompeian Company who made calendars and women's cosmetics.
