PAIR antique 1920's French Cherub Putti lights original Murano Glass shades

Description: These are the sweetest Pair of antique fine quality gilded metal (most likely spelter) French Putti hanging lights -with original Murano hand blown lily glass shades in a most gorgeous warm gold "tigers eye" type colourings. They fan out at the base from narrow necks - circa 1920's. They are heavy and undamaged.The Putti are identical and a perfect pair - they are perfectly poised as they fly through the air - the bulb holders are supported by golden silk covered cables and prettiest of glass shades descend from the palms of their hands. They have matching small bronze ceiling roses.Both have been fully rewired and with modern bulb holders- the original wiring was worn and damaged. They are fully compliant with French lighting standards - but we always recommend that they are checked by a qualified electrician prior to using to ensure it complies with your Country's regulations for electrical lights. Please NOTE- These are relatively small scale- which is why they are so charming - they were originally hanging in the recess of a large inglenook style fireplace - We would suggest they would suit a small cottage height room and would be somewhat lost on a high ceiling.
