The traces have an attached tag that reads in part as follows: IDEAL EQUESTRIAN. MASTER CRAFTSMEN IN SADDLERY-HARNESS. ART NO. HD-9019. SIZE. SHETLAND. We believe that this item was made within the last 5-10 years. The traces have 5 different holes in them that allow them to be adjusted. The traces measures roughly 67” from end to end including the roller bolt buckles and short pointed leather strap. The roller bolts measure roughly 1 5/8“ x 2“ at their furthest points. The small pointed strap measures roughly 3 3/4” in length. The traces also measure roughly 1” wide and 3/8” thick. The traces have 2 rows of stitching and what we believe to be a layer of nylon inlay that is sandwiched in between the two halves of leather. We believe that this type of construction enhances the strength of the traces. The roller bolts appear to be made of brass. The roller bolts were not attracted to a magnet when tested. The roller bolts have heavy wear, fading, scratches, nicks, and areas with oxidation. The combined weight of the traces is roughly 1 lb 15.4 oz. The leather has shelf wear, manufacturing imperfections, scratches, nicks, dings, scuffs, gouge-type marks, dusty areas, and normal shelf-type wear.
