Description: Here is a pair 19th century Staffordshire 9 3/8” deep plate bowls by Ashworth with strong color, intricate designs, nice flowers, and Asian scenes in square vignettes. The printed mark with a crown and ribbon says,”A Bros. Real Ironstone China. There is also an impressed mark with “Ashworth Real Ironstone China” and another impressed “7/83,” so maybe that’s the date of manufacture. One plate is a different color and a little darker than the other. Neither has any chips, nicks, or cracks. Three is no crazing and no scratches. At the edge where the rim bends down to go into the bowl, the are some tiny bits of paint wear, on both plates.
