The meters can run on batteries or adapter or both model dependent . ADAPTER NOT INCLUDED. USES A 9 VOLT 1.5 AMP DC WALLBOX ADAPTER. IM BEEN USING A 9VDC 2.0 AMP WALLBOX ADAPTER FROM EBAY WORKS FINE COST ME $6.50. These are the last of them in boxes. Since there returns they can be in any condition. From working fine to dead. I'm not testing them and just moving them out Cheap! They will be shipped in the box they come in. Boxes and meters may or may not have matching models or serial numbers. There meter type and appearance are all the same. Over the years people have open the boxes and may have mixed them up since the boxes are identical but just the numbers change.
