Condition: Not examined out of mounting but in very good condition with no loss of paint and elements or fading of colors. Notes: Signed lower left, 'Chrenkova', with artist's name in pen on backing sheet. Also titled 'Autumn' and dated (19)96, but unclear if this is denoting the creation of the work. Ľudmila (1940-)Kytica (Bouquet)€330.00 EUR Biography: Ľudmila Chrenková-Hoffmannová (Slovakia, 1940-) The academic painter was born near Trnava in Horná Krupa in 1940. Between 1967 and 1972 she attended the Bratislava College of Fine Arts, where she studied under the guidance of professors Želibský and Čemický. She has been involved in the development of the Slovak art scene since the 1970s. In painting, the artist focuses on depicting landscape motifs, but she also creates tapestries and works for architecture. Ludmila Chrenkova-Hofmannova’s first verified exhibition was Umelecká beseda slovenská: Z tvorby 1997 at Slovak Union of Visual Arts in Bratislava in 1997; the most recent exhibition was Listy z vnutorneho azylu III at Galeria Slovenskeho rozhlasu in Bratislava in 2019. She has exclusively exhibited in Slovakia including 9 group shows over the last 22 years. One notable show was Umelecká beseda slovenská : XVI. členská výstava at Dom umenia/Kunsthalle Bratislava in Bratislava in 2008. Other notable shows were at Slovak Union of Visual Arts in Bratislava and Galeria Silencium - Paneuropska Vysoka Skola in Bratislava. Ludmila Chrenkova-Hofmannova has been exhibited with Kvetoslava Fulierova and Marián Drugda. Museum collections include Jan Koniarek Gallery, a 47 year old Public Institution in Travic showing mostly painting with a focus on Conceptual Art.
