Description: Charcoal male figure drawing on newsprint done by Lewis Daniel in his W. 56th St. Manhattan studio in 1946 or 1947. Signed with his initials LD. My mother took figure drawing classes with him and got a couple of newsprint drawings from him. This is 14” x 21” and is available framed (see photo) or unframed. If you buy it unframed, shipping will be considerably less.Lewis Daniel (1901-1952) was a New York born artist known for his interest in the American spirit. He was known as a printer, painter, and illustrator. I no longer have room for this lovely drawing and want someone to have it who will enjoy it.
