Description: This is an original illustration by Frances Beem on artboard, using pen, ink and watercolor and she dated it 4/20/1914. This was originally submitted as the book’s cover however a different drawing by Beem was used as the cover. The book was Dolly and Molly at the Circus by Elizabeth Gordon which was published in 1937. Under the cloud the paper has lifted as shown in the photograph.
