Summer scene done on a 14" x 11" canvas panel with the framed measurements of 17 3/4" wide, 14 1/2" height, 3/4 depth, the frame width is 2 1/8". The frame is solid oak, custom vintage handmade in a golden oak stain. Noted landmark mountain in the Blue Ridge/Smokey mountains named for the long-distance views the give the blue smokey haze in the distant horizons. Most days misty valleys can obscure the long-distance view of the background mountains. Mount Mitchell is at the elevation of 6,684 feet above sea level and is the highest peak in the eastern part of the United States. Cherokee name for the mountain is Attakulla. The mountain and the surrounding area have forests of Spruce, Southern Fir evergreen pines with many other vegetations. This is just one view of the landmark mountain that is located 19 miles northeast of the city Asheville, North Carolina, USA. One-of-a-kind painting in an impression, folk art, self-taught mix style.
