Description: ORIGINAL WARTIME MANUFACTURED NORTH VIETNAMESE "DAC CONG" CAMOUFLAGE SAPPER SHORTS - THESE ARE IN THE SAME NORTH VIETNAMESE CAMOUFLAGE PATTERN AS SHOWN ON PAGE 27 OF THE MARCH 12TH, 1971 ISSUE OF LIFE MAGAZINE ENTITLED "TOUGH GOING IN LAOS" - THIS IS THE ONLY WARTIME COLOR PHOTOGRAPH I KNOW OF SHOWING THIS CAMOUFLAGE PATTERN IN USE BY THE NORTH VIETNAMESE DURING THE WAR. THESE JUNGLE / TRAIL MADE COTTON POPLIN SAPPER SHORTS WERE MADE FROM THE MATCHING PULLOVER STYLE SHIRT IN THE NVA'S LAOTIAN SANCTUARIES ALONG THE BORDER WITH SOUTH VIETNAM. THE SHORTS STILL FEATURE AN ELASTICATED WAIST BUT HAVE NEVER HAD THE HIDDEN ADJUSTMENT TABS OR BUTTONS ON THE LEGS - THEY ALSO HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TYPE OF SIZE TAG SEWN INTO THE HEM OF THE SHORTS. IF THE SHORTS ARE HELD UP TO ANY TYPE OF LIGHT SOURCE YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE STITCH LINE ON THE LEG FROM THE INSIDE POCKET OF THE PULLOVER SHIRT THEY WERE MADE FROM - WE HAVE TRIED TO SHOW THIS IN IMAGE NO. 7 THE SHORTS WILL FIT UP TO A 32" WAIST AND ARE IN VERY FINE CONDITION AS SHOWN WITH NICE COLOR AND NO RIPS, TEARS OR REPAIRS. FREE FIRST CLASS MAIL SHIPPING W/TRACKING THROUGH THE USPS TO US RESIDENTS ONLY. INTERNATIONAL 1ST CLASS MAIL SHIPPING W/ TRACKING IS US 24.00 THROUGH THE USPS. WE DO OFFER COMBINED SHIPPING SO IF YOU ORDER MORE THAN ONE ITEM PLEASE WAIT FOR US TO INVOICE YOU. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR COLLECTIONS !!!
