Description: Original from OrCam MyEye Assistive Device for the Blind and Visually Impaired. OrCam My Eye This is the first OrCam My Eye model— not to be confused with My Eye 2. The device has seen minimal use and should work as expected. The unboxing experience should be pretty similar to what one would expect— minus a few minor details: ⁃ The things aren’t packaged perfectly ⁃ Some of the boxing might be slightly tarnished due to trying to fit things back into their respective packaging ⁃ Not all things are in their original packaging e.g. one of the pieces for fitting the OrCam onto a pair of glasses as well as the additional magnetic tips for the charger that is in the main box are are packaged with the earbuds in the earbuds box ⁃ There are a total of two pieces for attaching the device to a pair of glasses ⁃ The lenses to the sample glasses are missing ⁃ The boxes have some clear tape on them in order for them not to open and for the contents of the boxes to stay secure Additional Specifications NOTICE: Someone previously purchased this product claiming that it didn’t work— so naturally I tested it to find out if everything works— luckily for me and the future purchaser of this product to find out that everything was perfectly fine. Make sure to know how to use the product. For this reason, I am posting a link for YouTube tutorials. While the tutorials are designed for the OrCam MyEye 2– most, if not all of the stuff should be of application to the original model. Please make sure to charge the device before using. There are two charging cables packed— one is packed with the portable battery charger, and one is found inside the main box along side the USB Type A power brick. The one inside the main box is a braided cable which has detachable magnetic charging pieces. There corresponding charging pieces are packed inside the earbuds box along with one of the magnetic mounting pieces to mount the OrCam device onto your glasses. I recommend using the cord packed inside the portable charger box, as the one with the detachable magnetic tips is annoying to use. The magnetic tips are hard to push in and pull out. Also, note that in order to turn the device on you need to long press the power button for a few seconds and wait while the device boots— kind of like a computer. It will make some noises, and eventually you should hear it announce that it’s ready to use. And if it wasn’t already obvious, make sure that the included earbuds are also charged and the included portable charger if you expect them to work when trying to use them.
