Description: Hello! My name is Marianna and I live in Ukraine, in Kyiv. I am a graphic designer by trade but I really like painting, all kinds of painting. I like to paint with oil and acrylic paints, with watercolors and ink, I also like using pencils and pastels. The themes of my creations depend on my mood. I get inspired by the books that I read, movies and just typical life situations, as well as by people and objects surrounding me. Artist biography: «Marianna Vakulenko was born in 1987 in Yasinovataya, Donetsk region, Ukraine.In 2007 graduated from the Donetsk Art School with a degree in Graphic Design.Worked as an illustrator in the editorial office in Donetsk.In 2014, when military operation in eastern Ukraine started, she moved to Odessa, where met local artists working in different genres and types of contemporary art.That became a turning point. Art took first place in her life. Central themes of her works are human relations, states of mind and self-knowledge.In 2017, she became a member of a non-profit organization of artists and participated in several exhibitions, including in Venice, in parallel with the fifty-seventh Venice Biennale.
