I was a high school art teacher in New York before opening my own studio. My studio was named The Art Cottage of New York, but after Covid, I did close shop. You can still see the studio on Facebook if interested. I also had a gift shop and I have been listing items each day. I was fortunate to study with the famous Willem de Kooning's student Pat Passlof and grateful that my art traveled to be shown in galleries. Pat Passlof's art was aquired by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City. Pat Passlof nominated me for an award and I did become the recipient of that award; The CSI Art Foundation award. I was extremely grateful that she chose me as her student and she was an amazing mentor. I was the artist interviewed in the Robert Durst documentary; THE JINX Part 2 and that interview was shot at my home studio. A few of my other art stories... I was asst to the art director for the Rockefeller's RF Illustrated where my work was shown, I designed a logo for John Mellencamp's newsletters, and the logo for Sysnet Computers.This card is made with ink on rice paper and on 120lb cardstock (so it is sturdy!
