This painted bust silhouette of a Field Officer of the Royal Marines is after a painting by the celebrated John Bunc0mbe of Newport, Isle of Wight in England.. He painted it about 1820, give or take a couple of years. Its 4-1/2" x 3" painted in watercolor and gouache with a little added pen and ink, matted and framed under glass. Painting size is 4-1/2" x 3", oval mat to fit a standard 6" x 4" frame. Outside frame dimensions are 7-3/4" x 5-3/4". Painting and frame in excellent condition. _____________________________
