Oriental Limited HO Brass #0075 CB&Q Silver King and Silver Queen EA/EB Set 1981

We see a CB&Q ‘Silver King’ and ‘Silver Queen’ E A/B Diesel Electric locomotive set. Made by KMT of Japan in 1981. These DO NOT come up often and are a must for the CB&Q collector. This locomotive set is NOT DCC ready, however they can be easily converted to DCC using a hardwired decoder. Tested both units on 11/14/24. The A unit received power but appeared to have a seized up motor. I suspect this is due to long time storage without proper break in/lubrication. The B unit was operational in both directions which was great to see but was quite noisy and could use some more break in/lubrication as well. I only noticed minimal wear on the wheels from light past use. The brass finish is C-8/C-9 and is near perfect. Some of the original foam is still stuck to the sides of the locos and will need to be airbrushed off but nothing too major. Kadee couplers have already been installed. The original diaphragms & extra headlight are included. Original box with minor outer wear from shelf storage. Original foam was deteriorated and will be replaced with bubble wrap to ensure these beauties arrive safely. All Brass Locos typically need a little TLC and fine tuning, lubrication, adjustment and break-in to achieve optimal performance.
