Orginal Glashütte/Sa. Tutima 585 Solid Gold case hallmarked Vintage

Description: Alte UHL original Glashutte/SA . Tutima 585 Gold (14Karat is 583 so 585 is a little bit purer than 14 Karat) Vintage. Watch has the 585 stamp on the back and also a CH initials (585 stamp is on top of CH initials, hard to see on pictures because of a bad quality camera). Art Deco, Circa 1929. A little history, Glashtte Original also hangs its hat on Langes first pioneering push into the region. The brands name first appeared on pieces from that region as copies of Glashtte-made pieces started appearing, stamped with the name Systeme Glashtte. That said, the true roots of Glashtte Original are more formally tied to the regions struggles after the end of WWII.Tutimas path in horology has been a bit different, starting in 1927 in Glashtte only to have its facilities bombed out during the war. Rather than rebuild in the region, Dr. Ernst Kurtz moved the facility to the west. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, Tutima returned to Glashtte, this time with a few significant successes under its belt, including the Tutima Military Chronograph ref. 798 that became the official watch for NATO pilots in 1984. I am not a reseller; this is my personal watch, and it was always serviced as it should at Applet Clock and Watch repair in Brandon VT. Extra large strap. This is beautiful piece of history.
