Organic Echinacea Purple Coneflower Perennial Medicinal Edible Flower~2023 Seeds

Description: NOTE: I try to keep the cost with free shipping on small seed orders as low as possible by using first class letter mail without tracking. It works well, but sometimes is a little slow and very occasionally they don't show up at all. In order to be able to keep using this low cost service on Ebay, PLEASE do not open a case if you do not receive the seed order. There is no way for me to provide tracking for an open case, and they punish me for USPS mail failures. JUST MESSAGE ME DIRECTLY and let me know you haven't received them, and I'll resend them out for you. Look for the seeds (unless you pay for first class package with tracking) in your regular letter mail in a white envelope with a butterfly or flower sticker on it. Choose From 25 to 5000 BULK Seeds~ *5000 Seed orders automatically come with First Class Shipping with tracking, as free shipping option **All posted photos are of MY plants! I do not use lifted photos from other sites, or stock photos!!! Random Mix of Echinacea Angustafolia, Purpurea, Pallida, Double Deckers ~ "Purple Coneflower"They are all put in together~ the large majority of the seeds are either angustafolia or purpurea because those are the ones I grow the most of, but you could also receive some double decker seeds or an occasional Pallida seed. ALL of which make great medicine, and stunning flowers!! And the bees and butterflies seem to enjoy them all about the same as well. ALL of the seeds I sell in my shop are all naturally grown/organic, and from the most recent harvest either the current year or fall of previous year, and are kept in cold storage. They are tested for viability and only harvests that have between 80 and 95% germination rate are offered for sale. They are hand sorted and counted so that only the highest quality seeds are sent out. Open Pollinated. Non GMO. Grown HERE on our small country homestead in an ALL natural way, with lots of homemade compost and fertilizers, rainwater, and a MULTITUDE of wild plants and companion planting to create the biodiversity needed to control what most people consider to be "pests"... but we here just consider a healthy part of the ecosystem. Most of the bugs become chicken snacks, and the rest are left, to entice the beneficial insects to come and join us! The property has a constant, harmonious buzz to it. Beautiful prolific blooming perennial.... planted early in the season they have a very good chance of blooming the first year. ALL of the plants I sprouted this past summer and planted in the garden bloomed heavily!! The color ranges from a pale lavender color, to a bright vibrant violet purple. The Echinacea plant has been used for centuries as a herbal remedy for many different ailments and health issues. The root, petals and leaves are all edible. Teas, tinctures, and salves can be made from the dried plant parts. It's great for an immune system boost, for colds and upper respiratory ailments, and more. The big gorgeous daisy like flowers start kind of star like, and fan out with many single rowed petals, then begin to drop down as the center grows taller and into a cone shaped mound. The blossoms attract bees and butterflies to your garden, and make great garden border plants. They also make great cut flowers for bouquets and arrangements. The plants will get approx. 3 feet in height, and I have even seen some get taller than that. They need at least 12 to 18" of space between plants because they will bush out quite a bit. MOIST STRATIFICATION will help seed germination~ to do so, place seeds in moist sand or peat in the refrigerator for about 3 weeks prior to planting. Keep the medium and seeds in a sealed ziplock baggie to hold in moisture. Remove them after the stratification period, and plant as instructed. The seeds have ALREADY been kept cold for a few weeks prior to shipping, so the moist cold will boost their germination rate to maximum. Zones: 3-9 Germination time: 10-14 days Seed Planting Depth: 1/4" Sunlight: Seeds need darkness for germination but plants need at least 6-8 hrs of full sun per day Soil requirements: Will grow in rocky or poor soil, but will do best when given compost a couple of times per year, and organic matter dressing/mulch. They prefer neutral ph of 6.5 to 7 Water requirements: When plants are young, or recently transplanted, keep them well watered and do not allow soil to dry out fully. Once they have gotten established, and have grown into pretty large plants, you can water less. Generally, They do not like wet, poorly draining heavy soils. If you have heavy clay soil, lighten with sand, and add organic material to make it more well draining. Once a week or 10 days deep waterings during times of drought and/or temps of 90 degrees or more. If you get a good rain at least every couple of weeks, additional waterings are not usually necessary. If you notice the plants looking flaccid or droopy, give them a good watering. Once established, plants do not like to be disturbed or moved. Start indoors 6 weeks before last frost date and transplant or plant seeds in fall or early spring (after stratification) outdoors Plant seeds or thin to a minimum of 12" apart SHIPPING: I ship individual orders of small and tiny seeds in regular first class letter envelopes without tracking to save you on shipping costs. *****If you order 4 or more seed items, order larger sized seeds, or large volumes of one seed type, I will send in a padded envelope with tracking automatically with the free shipping option. *****You can request 1st class shipping with tracking, or priority mail/priority express shipping with any order. If you chose "FREE SHIPPING", please note that many times you will not receive a tracking number when your order is marked complete. If you do not receive your seed order within 2 weeks of the date you ordered, contact me, and I'll resend your order. I do not give refunds or accept returns on seeds, but I will most certainly resend an order that does not show up due to USPS incompetence. We <3 organic gardening and totally enjoy sharing the fruits of our labor with our friends here on eBay~ Every order is a blessing, and we want all of our fantastic buyers to be 100% happy with their purchase. So contact us ASAP if you aren't (for any reason) thrilled with your order. Happy and Blessed Growing!!!!
