Description: O156 replate medium: this is a "hot" replate medium that is too strong for many orchids. O156 is best for use with plants with large roots- phalaenopsis, vanda, etc. These tend to be heavy feeders that can do well with relatively high nutrient concentrations. This formulation is based on Murashige and Skoog salt base with 20 grams of sugar and all the other goodies (inositol, peptone, B vitamins- the whole kitchen sink is in there). This is a formulations we use here for replate of some orchids- mainly the big-and-strong growers. Not for use with plants that have small roots. Contains gelling agent (agar).
