Description: This is one of my favorite cactus to grow because it's so easy. I never water them and I leave them outside all year where it can get down to zero degrees Fahrenheit. They grow in a mat like fashion and so far they don't seem to get above 4 inches tall. If you want to be successful growing these outside you definitely have to make the soil very gritty and dry and have them in the sunniest location possible. At my home these get snow covered and do just fine however they definitely can take damage if you have numerous wet freeze thaw Cycles. You could also grow these indoors but I would probably have them under grow lights at least for a few hours every day in a very sunny window.
