Author Biography Rusty Knife Kim (Jeonghyun Kim) is the author of Operation Dawn which was executed by Korean Navy and UDT/SEAL off the Somali coast in 2011. He Graduated from Naval Academy of the Republic of Korea. After he completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL(BUD/S) training in Korea he also served commanding officer of SDV Unit, Special Boat Unit, Intel/Operation staff(N2/3), and Chief of Staff of ROK Naval Special Warfare Brigade (UDT/SEAL). As a Surface Warfare Officer, he has successively filled various positions such as commanding officer of Patrol Killer(PKM-287), Frigate(FF-955) and Destroyer Mun-Mu the Great(DDH-976). He was deployed to the Gulf of Aden for Counter-Piracy Operation two times as chief of staff and Commanding officer of the Escort Task Group. .
