Onyx Table Lamp 1920s Cast Metal Ornate Antique Grape Vine Bronzed

Description: I have up for sale a lovely vintage original circa 1920s or there abouts Onyx and Bronzed Cast Iron GRAPES & LEAVES pattern table lamp. Its a gorgeous lamp , stands approx 26" to the top of the finial with an approx 7" diameter onyx base. The castings on the upper base are sensational , it looks like a Grapes and Leaves pattern to me. The metal is Cast Iron with a plated bronze finish, appears to have been burnished at some time in the past. The base and cylindrical tube section are onyx. The lamps needs some attention, the cord in the area where it fits into the hole in the base is worn. I tried to splice it myself but when I taped it over , the diameter was too big and it pulled apart when I tried to pull it through the hole. This needs to be done over better. Not difficult , just time consuming . The sockets both work but as stated, I do not trust the wiring in that one specific area. It needs to be attended to in order to use and be safe. The plug is a bit mis-shaped , still functions but you may want to replace it. The finial sits a tad askew. The bronzed iron looks to have been burnished many moons back. With a little love and attention the lamp can be brought back to its original glory. The castings are sensational. The lamp weighs roughly 10 lbs. I will package with care and ship fully insured. ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics. IN THE RARE EVENT YOU RECEIVED THE ITEM AND IT IS DAMAGED -CONTACT ME ASAP - KEEP THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS JUST AS THE ITEM ARRIVED AS THEY WOULD BE NEEDED TO HELP PROCESS THE INSURANCE CLAIM. YOU WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HELP WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM . SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING ,PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND OF THE DAMAGED ITEM WOULD BE REQUIRED. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE.
