Small town of ARLINGTON WAS ORIGINALLY CALLED "ALKALI" OREGON, GOES BACK TO 1885 AS A SHIPPING PORT ON THE COLUMBIA RIVER.... has a population of 586 and is located in Gilliam County, just south of Washington state. this is a tougher Oregon town, and beautiful "un-dug" specimen....and $1.00 was a lot of money back in the day This is a neat old token, and a great natural patina specimen. If you look in old Hemphill book, there are not many merchants listed for this small Columbia River town Trade token is brass metal, round, about 35mm in diameter ,and it displays very nicely.
