Please see our other listings for additional images of the 1903 flood. The Altonian usually served as a ferry but was pressed into service during the flood rescuing both people and livestock. She is shown here with a herd of horses on her deck. The image quality is great with a very good focus and contrast. The photo measures app. 8" X 10" including the mount, the sight size is app. 5" X 7" The condition is excellent with some wear and minor loss to the edges of the mount but no rips, tears or repairs.
