Description: 1955 LIFE Magazine - The Epic of Man - Oversized Magazine with LOTS of Vintage Advertising I don't know what it is exactly, but this cover just jumps out at you. I was tempted to frame it and put it on the wall as vintage pop art. This is the old style of LIFE Magazine that is humongous in size. As you can see, it's around 14 inches by 12 inches. This is also why it is nearly 2lb to ship - the cardboard to keep it sturdy in transit weighs almost as much as the magazine. It is in overall good condition with plenty or normal wear for a 68 year old magazine (small bends, discoloration, tears, frays, stray pencil/ink mark, small bits of writing, etc). There are some moisture stains in the middle (see pic with the cheese spread), but they are not seriously damaging and there is no musty smell. The sheer amount of ads for booze, cigarettes, and terrible food makes this worth the price. Perfect for vintage home and office decor, props, staging, or collecting.
