He worked in the farm fields and orchards as a young man, in manufacturing and retail businesses while in college. He served his country as a U.S. Naval Officer in South East Asia in the sixties. He launched several businesses in California, Oregon, and Alaska. He and his wife are looking forward to their fifty-seventh wedding anniversary. He is the father of four sons, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He and his wife have made their home in the beautiful mountains of Southern Oregon for more than thirty-seven years.
