Description: These coins have a fascinating history. During World War II, the Norwegian government in exile in London was collaborating with the Allied forces. These brass coins (10, 25 and 50 øre) were made in the UK as preparation for a potential allied invasion into Norway to kick the Germans out. That operation never materialized and most of these coins were melted. Some were sold after the war to collectors -they always come in high grade as they were never put in circulation.
