Description: Lovely Vintage NORITAKE CHINA Teacup And Saucer Set W Matching Sugar and Creamer 19 piece matched set includes:8 teacups with 8 matching saucers, 1 creamer, and 1 sugar bowl with 1 lid This beautiful and rare set is number 5412, which was only made between the years of 1953-1957 and then retired. Pattern is glossy white glazed fine china of the highest quality, with gold trim at rims and unusual solid thick gold handles. Cups have a lovely pattern of pink rose garlands with green foliage going around the INSIDE rim of cups, with one single rose at the very BOTTOM of the cup. Just beautiful. Saucers have the same design, with one single rose in the center where cup rests and a garland border. Sugar bowl and creamer have wonderful design, rounded but elongated. Sugar lid handle is a half rounded offset loop, very pretty. Cup Size Approx. 2"Tall x 4" Across, Saucer 6"Wide. Creamer 2.5"Tall x 6.5"Long handle to spout. Sugar 7" wide handle to handle, 3" Tall with lid, and a generous 4.5"Across opening Excellent Condition These must have been stored very carefully because there is NO damage- no chips, nicks, cracks, staining, crazing to glaze, wear to gold trim, or repairs. A magnificent set. All pieces marked Noritake China JAPAN 5412 on bottom with Noritake symbol. This is a terrific set for a collector and would be FANTASTIC in use for coffee or tea- they just do NOT make beautiful sets like this anymore.
