Description: Up for auction are a few cool items I found at an estate sale. I purchased these at the childhood Long Island home of Thomas Gorman, who was a Yankees pitcher who pitched on two World Series-winning teams and pitched for the Norfolk Tars, a Yankee affiliate in the Piedmont Leage. This is a letter from H.P. Dawson 1947 concerning a contract that needed signed. Has Norfolk Baseball Exhibition Co letterhead and an envelope. There is also a "bio" of Gorman detailing his skills by Ruth Ann Meyer. And what's really cool about this one is a handwritten note trying to negotiate better terms in the contract because he was having hard times making ends meet and needed to help his family. This looks like he was writing a practice letter on scratch paper and I'm assuming he sent the regular letter on to Mr. Dawson. I hope he got more money! Cool for any Norfolk baseball or Yankees collector. See my other auctions. I'm happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases. If you want me to combine shipping on multiple, please wait to pay and I'll send an invoice when you're finished bidding.
