These were machine embroidered. Stahl's has been around over 100 years, so I imagine these were top quality for their time. Embroidery machines today, I am sure, are tighter and more precise. These are new/unused, but will have some 70s qualitycharacter to them. I do not smell any odd odors on the letters. I am getting small whiffs of smoke from the boxes.
