The new hydraulic fence stretcher works basically the same as the prior version, but with the door/clamp now being hydraulically operated. To use, simply lift the roller rod, set your roll of fence on the base plate, re-insert the rod through the roll of fence. You then pull your fencing through the door opening, attach it to your 1st post, then back up to unroll. When you're ready to stretch, use your hydraulic buttons to clamp the door shut, pull the fence tight, drive up to the posts and position the fence. This is the fastest and most efficient way to hang woven wire field fence. By being on the front of the skid steer, you can unroll, stretch, and put the fence into position all from the seat of the machine.
