Description: NEW IGNITION ELECTRICAL SWITCH. This is the metal cased design used by BMW and shown for late E9 3.0CSi & E3 3.0S, Si, 3.3L and 3.0 Bavaria. This switch has the gray feed wire provision for European parking lamps (left or right side on with ignition off depending on turn signal position). This wire was left disconnected on most USA versions. It differs from the early production switch in the relative positions of the round pin and the "ear" for the retaining screw (90 degrees from each other on this switch). They have been unavailable from BMW for some years They have been known to be used in alternative orientation housings but then requires cutting of the round pin flush and relying on the screw ear for both longitudinal and rotational support - so may not function as long.
