New Handmade Amish Quilted Wall Hanging or Baby Quilt (61"W x 72"L)

Beautiful machine-quilted, "Tree of Life" screen-print and pieced, mostly green and beige Crib Size bed quilt or wall hanging. This quilt was handmade by the Mennonites in Pennsylvania. I believe it was made by the Mennonites because the stitching that is visible was done by a sewing machine. It's possible it was done with a treadle machine (what the Amish use), but if so, they had a pretty steady speed. Only one of its kind! Quilt is approximately 61-inches wide by 72-inches long. It is pictured on a Queen size bed with four pillows and a small footboard. I tried to get close-ups of the screen-print block in the center and one of the Churn Dash quilt blocks. Churn Dash is a 9-block quilt square. Back and binding appear to be muslin or off-white cotton fabric. Please note, there are not any tabs on the back for hanging the quilt. Your would need a clamp style quilt hanger if you plan to hang it. This is not your typical Mennonite/Amish quilt because it is not hand-quilted and the focal point Tree of Life square is off-center on the quilt. There is a screen-print border along the right side, but the middle portion of the "vine" does not line up. Also, the points on some of the quilt blocks are not showing. This leads me to believe that this quilt was made by an inexperienced quilter. However, the quilter had a wonderful eye for color combinations. This quilt is very pleasing to look at and would look great hanging on a wall, or spread over the top of a crib or even a twin bed. Be sure to look at all the pictures to see the fabulous detail. Since this was handmade, there may be some loose threads attached. We leave it like it was when we bought it.
