Description: New Glarus Brewing Co, New Glarus, Wisconsin 1998 beer stein ! 1998 Central Small Breweries of Wisconsin stein. Although three are pictured to show all sides of the stein, you are bidding on one stein. Number on the bottom will vary as I have 2 for sale. This is a large 1 liter stein, 9 1/2" to the top of the thumb rest. The stein also was a Wisconsin Sesquicentennial (150th Anniversary) issue. The Small Breweries of Wisconsin stein series ran from 1990 to 1998. It started with 8 participating breweries in 1990 and ended with 30 participating breweries in 1998. Each stein that a brewery sold had one of it's own logos on the top lid insert. Only 400 were made for the 10 participating breweries for the 1998 Central version, 40 per brewery. Over time many of the participating breweries have closed. The following brewery logos are on the 1998 Central steins. 1. Angelic Brewing Co., Madison (Now Closed) 2. B.T. McClintic Beer Co., Beloit (Now Closed) 3. Capital Brewery, Middleton 4. Endehouse Brewing Co., Reedsburg (Now Closed) Owner opened the Corner Pub Brewpub in Reedsburg. 5. Gray's Brewing Co., Janesville 6. Great Dane Brewing Co., Madison 7. The Joseph Huber Brewing Co., Monroe (Now Closed) Brewery sold to Minhas Brewing Co. in Monroe 8. J. T. Whitney's Brewpub, Madison (Now Closed) 9. New Glarus Brewing Co., New Glarus 10. Randy's Fun Hunters Brewery, Whitewater Each stein that a brewery sold had one of it's own logos on the top lid insert. This is the New Glarus Brewery version with the New Glarus Brewery logo on the top lid insert. The steins are mint, just like new. Wisconsin residents add appropriate sales tax.
