In 2023, Brad Jackson (Jackson Audio and Jackson Ampworks) contacted Mike about licensing Fulltone Musical Products under the name Fulltone USA, and a partnership was formed. At Winter NAMM 2024, Fulltone USA took over product design, manufacturing, support and sales, and in collaboration with Mike Fuller, started in earnest under the Fulltone USA name. ■Product Overview OCD is a very open-sounding overdrive/distortion circuit that is completely different from typical overdrives in that it uses mosfet for clipping and the clipping is connected to the circuit's voltage reference (vref) rather than ground. The result is a more interactive sound when picked softly or hard compared to traditional "diode-to-ground" clipping overdrives. The OCD provides touch sensitivity and nuance while preserving the inherent tone of the amp and guitar you are playing, creating complex harmonics. Because of its enormous output, the OCD is a great pedal to use as an Overdrive in front of an amp or through a master volume amp to drive it much harder than other ODs, but it also excels at creating its own distortion with the complex harmonic array of a Class A amp.
