The kit comes complete with parts for both the SR20 and the SR22:- 2 prop options (2 and 3 blade)- 2 landing gear options (one set with wheel fairings and one without) Minor scratch building from leftover resin or other materials of choice will be necessary for the antennas on the canopy. Martin Decarli has rendered the only 1/72 scale model kit of the Cirrus SR20 to date and now he has released a new version that expands the possibilities of this kit to the newer, more powerful SR22 version of this popular civil aviation phenomenon. Liveries include:Saudi Arabian Air Force (SR22)USAF Academy (T-53 Kadet II military designation for SR20)United Aviate Academy for Alaska Airlines (SR20) The Cirrus SR series has taken Civil Aviation by storm first with its safety record and economical operation and now with its continued modernization and interior design. Martin has also improved the interior components and utilized an acetate canopy which offers improved clarity to better display the detail and design that Cirrus has become known for. The kit is crafted and designed with simplicity and accuracy in mind. While the resin kit differs from plastic models in both technique and adhesives it is simple enough that anyone with modest model building skills can complete a model they can be proud of. Simply use a quick bonding adhesive like 'Super Glue' and, if you're so inclined, apply filler to smooth any imperfections. Some care must be exercised when removing casting blocks, which are essentially the "sprues" of resin kits, and especially when fitting the acetate canopy. The blocks can be a bit bulky compared to plastic sprues and may be attached across a larger area of the pieces. A razor saw or knife may be needed to prevent damaging the piece it is attached to. Some light sanding will likely be required to achieve a perfect fit. Martin has recreated this now ubiquitous aircraft in 1/72 scale to the same standard that has made him the builder of choice for private collectors, corporate displays, and museum pieces worldwide. His work can be seen representing the most common aircraft on the planet, like the Cirrus SR series, Cessna 172, and the Cessna Caravan, as well as the most obscure, like the Avia S-199 which was a post WWII variant of the BF-109 produced for Israel. Again, this is a very limited production and I am unsure of how long it will take to restock when these are gone.
