New CD The Jeff Beck -MARQUEE CLUB 1967- from Japan

Description: New CD The Jeff Beck -MARQUEE CLUB 1967- from Japan Description Description ★Unreleased live recording of the first Jeff Beck Group from 1967! ★A fierce battle between Rod Stewart's vocals and J. Beck, featuring Ron Wood. An unreleased live performance from the first Jeff Beck Group, featuring Rod Stewart (vocals) and Ron Wood (bass), just after the group was formed! Jeff Beck, who gained recognition for his genius guitar work as a member of the Yardbirds, left the group in 1966 and released his solo single "Hi Ho Silver Lining" under the planning of his talented manager Mickie Most, which became a smash hit. At the same time, Jeff was also working on forming a new band, so he formed his own band, the Jeff Beck Group, with Rod Stewart on vocals and Ron Wood on bass. From spring to summer 1967, the drummer was not fixed and live performances were sporadic, but in September Mickey Waller (drums) joined the group, and the first generation of members finally started moving. The live performance at the long-established Marquee Club in London on September 26, 1967 was just such a time. Here you can listen to the early Jeff Beck Group live performance, with a stronger hard blues color. There are almost no live recordings from before their debut album, except for the BBC live. In that case, we have no choice but to rely on tapes recorded personally by people involved in the venue. This Marquee Club recording is one of those, and Jeff's guitar and Ronnie's bass are recorded very clearly, which is extremely good considering the era. Jeff's guitar leads the song with a VOX amp on a tiger-eye sunburst Les Paul, and Rod's intense vocals respond. In addition to "Rock My Plimsoul," "I Don't Like Superstition," and "Let Me Love You," which were included in their debut album [TRUTH] the following year, they also play many unreleased songs that were not selected for [TRUTH], such as "Stone Crazy" known for Buddy Guy and "I Can't Hold Out" by Elmore James, and they also perform "Jeff's Boogie" from their Yardbirds days. The second half of the album features a recording from the Jazz & Blues Festival in Windsor, England, six weeks before the Marquee Club performance, which is said to be the oldest live recording of the Jeff Beck Group. Although the sound quality is not great, this was an outdoor live performance that also featured Cream and Fleetwood Mac, and it ended up being the last live performance by the previous drummer, Aynsley Dunbar. It also includes a very rare cover of Some Kind of Wonderful, and a fun encore performance of Hi Ho Silver Lining, with Rod taking over on chorus and Jeff singing. The original blues and hard rock band Jeff Beck Group, which had a huge influence on later bands such as Led Zeppelin, has released two rare live performances from their early days, recorded by Eternal Grooves. Includes Japanese liner notes with information on the situation at the time, episodes, tracklist, etc. ★Japan Copyright Association JASRAC licensed product ★Jacket using licensed photos from Getty Images Japan Media reviews and more The first Jeff Beck Group, unreleased live performance from 1967!
