I opened it to show viewers what was included in the box as well as checking the condition of the lamp to be sure it was not damaged. The lamp has never been used or assembled. The lamp has a clear glass font, embossed with the Eagle logo on the bottom, with a scalloped pattern on the top. The burner, embossed with the Eagle logo, is pristine. The wick is unused and has not been inserted into the burner. The ribbed reflector, embossed with the Eagle logo, is shiny on the front and back. The back does have oxidation. The clear glass chimney is new-no chips or cracks. In reboxing the parts, I added additional bubble wrap. Also, the box you see will be put into an outer when shipped. This is a perfect for a collector who would like a near MINT Eagle Hurricane Kerosene Lamp. In order to include as many photos as possible, I did not assemble the lamp or measure its height or diameter. CONDITION-MINT to NEAR MINT : Photos are of the exact item you will receive. A picture of the item set back in the box with packaging around it. Photos (more than one) of the damaged areas to your purchase. Steps for me to File a Claim The Buyer is to throw nothing out. (Save the damaged item, box and all packing materials.) Provide me with a description of the damage and photos. I will file a claim submitting the above from #1. The Shipper may require seeing the item. If so, it must be repackaged using the original box and packaging materials. Arrangements will be made for the Shipper to receive the item. Once the Shipper examines the item and renders their decision, closure will occur. Please note, I do not know how long it will take the Shipper to make their decision on this claim.
