Description: NDG7475 1W+ 520nm Green Laser Diode Max Suggested Current 2.2AFor more info see the community testing thread on the LPF forum. These diodes have also been called NDG7K75 which is not a production model number and NDG7475T which (T) was the Test Sample batches first run of the actual production while they are still in development. All the modified and faked datasheets are based on a leaked test sample sheet. No one will have actual (T) batch diodes to sell. Just more misinformation that has been allowed to run rampant here on eBay. These are real 1W+ NDG7475 not the NDG7575(NDG700) which has always been a 700mW rated diode till recently sellers started calling them 1W with as usual a fake datasheet showing it as a 1W but stating a higher max and nominal current basically meaning overdrive it to get to 1W which is less efficient, generates more heat and will reduce the life of the diode. Genuine NDG7475 diodes will reach 1W with 1.5A-1.6A as shown in the testing below and when pushed their max can hit around 1.4W. NDG7575(NDG700) sold as 1W NDG7475 will do 1W but it is over the nominal drive current of 1.5A to 1.7A-1.8A and will top out around 1.1W when pushed. I also have options for this diode in several sized high grade 99.9% pure C1100 copper diode modules, In the modules with a glass collimating lens or a full module with lens and incorporated laser driver for a ready drop in module for your end project. Check out these listings. NDG7475 Options Diode should be properly mounted via the base to a heatsink for thermal stability and use of a actual laser driver providing constant current that is properly applied and filtered by the driver of no more than 2.2A. If what you are using has the ability to limit voltage it is not a laser driver and even if it is a pure current regulating source might be only designed to operate withing the stress tolerances of LED's causing a great abuse when used with laser diodes. Shortening the life of the diode considerably if not just a COD death right away. A improper power source without proper inrush and over/under shoot suppression can damage the diode in a event that happens in millisecond time scales meaning it would happen faster than can be perceived by the human eye and no signs of what just happened as many that have had this happen think there would have to be a flash of light produced from the lasing cavity that would be seen before going open circuit. e NDG7475 1W 520nm Laser Diode *Disclaimer*All laser diodes/modules offered via this store are components for integration into a wide range of end products of your own design. They require fundamental understanding laser safety, electronic characteristics of laser diodes which are current source, specialized current source circuitry required to properly power them and provide functionality required by the end product, optics for collimation, optics used for beam shaping/combining/filtering, and proper thermal management of waste heat generated. Failure to properly incorporate these items into your end product can cause a dangerous situation resulting in bodily harm to yourself or others. No end product specif bundle listings or as often referred to as "Kits" are offered here and no commissioned building or repair of any completed end products are offered. Please do not ask. By purchasing diodes/modules here you are agreeing to the following. - You are over 18 years of age . - You understand that laser components that are mentioned above are dangerous when not properly assembled into a finished product. - You will use these as components and properly incorporate them into a finished product. - You will use these diodes/modules in a safe and responsible manner and for a legal purpose. - You are legally responsible for the use of these components, improper use of these components or their end products. - You are legally responsible for any injury to anybody resulting from the use of or assembly of these components or their finished products. - You Accept these diodes/modules as a COMPONENT for integration in a system of YOUR OWN design and will be legally responsible from any and all LIABILITIES These Diodes and Modules are sold solely as a component for incorporation into the customer's end products. Therefore, this diode/module is exempt from compliance with the appropriate requirements of FDA 21CFR, section 1040.10 and 1040.11 for complete products.
