Description: Navajo Sterling Tufa or SandCast Heavy Turquoise Cuff Bracelet 117gr SMALL WRIST Click images to enlarge Description For your consideration is a GORGEOUS vintage sterling silver tufa or sand-cast Navajo cuff bracelet (expert opinions on the casting method are varied, because part of the silver is "rough" and part has been polished--only the silversmith knows for sure). The focal point is the big hunk of vibrant turquoise. Before you read further, this bracelet is large and heavy, but it's for a SMALL WRIST. I have a 6.5" wrist and you can see in the photos how it barely fits--it was difficult to squeeze my wrist into it. I'd say you need a 6" to 6 1/4" wrist to wear this bracelet. That being said, the turquoise is a robin's egg blue with white quartz matrix within the stone. It's set in a rope bezel at the front. The bracelet is done in the "corn" or "fleur de lis" design often seen in bracelets of this style. This bracelet measures 2 1/4" north to south. It is NOT flexible. It measures 5 1/8" from one tip, to the gap, and the gap is 7/8" wide. You have to be able to slide your wrist into the 7/8" gap. If you can, this is ONE AMAZING BRACELET on the wrist!! The bracelet weighs a massive 117.2 grams and is in excellent antique condition. Please see my other offerings from this collection.
