Nautical Ship's Wheel Clock Wood Tabletop 13 1/4 inches Works Well

Description: Helping a family member downsize in preparation for a move. Has a sunroom that is decorated with nautical items. This is a wooden table top whip's steering wheel clock that is 13 1/4 inches tall. The clock is analog and has Roman Numerals, hour and minute hand along with second hand. There is an inner circle of brass that decorates the clock. Each hour has a nautical knot to mark the hour along with the numeral and there is a small anchor at the bottom ( "6"). The clock sits on an oval wooden base that is 8 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches. A length of nautical rope--doubled--accents the base and clock. The clock area itself is 5 1/4 inches, the steering wheel is 11 inches and the wood frame around the clock is 1 inch. I did replace the battery compartment as it had become damaged/bent so there is a new battery compartment and I did test the clock for a week and it worked just fine. The battery compartment is a bit snug, so please put the + end in first and then the - end will slide in just fine. A really beautiful piece, and not just for nautical or maritime decor. The clock would work in any variety of settings and make an excellent gift for someone who likes to collect interesting bits and pieces.
