Description: This unique Native American Zuni Carved Animal Totem Fetish Necklace features a bear, bird, fox, and turtle, all handcrafted with intricate details. The provenance of this piece is not known, but it is certain to be a prized possession for anyone who appreciates Native American art and culture. Made in the United States, this necklace is a true representation of the southwest or a Pacific Northwest tribe's artistic heritage. It is a perfect addition to any collection of Native American arts or as a statement piece for anyone who wants to showcase their love for Native American culture or woodland creatures in general. This necklace is a must-have for anyone who admires the beauty and complexity of folk art made by hand. Features a standing bear center pendant and small birds in varying positions equally spaced on both sides of bear with every-other carved bead being an animal found in North America. A turtle, fox, buffalo, rabbit, pig, & bear on all fours. All of small beads have a black inlay inside the carved out dots for an eye except one bird & one bunny which is missing the ⚫️ eye. The cone hook & eye clasp was black before quickly polishing it on the tube of the sock I was wearing at the flea market from whence I got it. It could use more polishing. I can’t say it’s 925 sterling but it’s at least 800 parts per 1000 silver. The beads are polished antler or cow bone. The center bear shows a brownish red “seam” that causes me to lean more towards bone. I assume the material wasn’t thick enough and required three pieces to be layered for desired scale & size.
