Description: 1933 Gold Double Eagle proof tribute coin (DD1488) from the National Collector's Mint. This coin is clad in 24K gold and is part of a limited edition of 2,250 coins. It comes sealed in a plastic case and I did not find the box that it came in. It does include the certificate of authenticity. Included is a second, identical proof coin (DD1487) that is damaged. The case is cracked as you can see in the photos and there is some discoloration. These belonged to my late father-in-law who loved to collect coins.
