Myth Adventures One Vol 1 Paperback TPB/Graphic Novel Starblaze Donning 1985

Description: For sale today is the classic, rare, and out-of-print (oop) Donning/Starblaze Graphics oversized trade paperback (tpb)/graphic novel Myth Adventures One by Robert Asprin and Phil Foglio, published in 1985. It is the first printing edition. Collects Myth Adventures (1984-1986) #1-4. By Robert Asprin and Phil Foglio. Join Skeeve, a hapless apprentice magician, and his demonic teacher, Aahz as they go on a fantasy adventure for the ages. I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This copy is in good overall reading condition considering its age, with a solid spine and very good overall inside pages with minimal signs of natural yellowing over time (photo#15 example). It does have numerous cover creases/indents, although the only moderate ones are around the upper spine corner and top outer corners, with otherwise mostly lighter and external signs of wear, all detailed below. **Photo#3:-Spine edge: 2 indents around its middle - one is near the upper spine corner, and shows on the adjacent front cover as a small indent, and on the adjacent back as a curved ~1.5" indent/depression (photo#10), shows on ~12 pages. **Photo#4: -Upper spine corner: Ding/compression causing a small tear where it meets the front cover with ~1" and ~1/2" indents around it on the cover - they go thru pages as an indent, and onto the back cover. **Photo#5:-Lower spine corner: Light scuffing, small peel near its middle. **Photo#6: -Front cover top edge: Light shelf-scuffing, small scuff towards outer corner.-Outer corner: Light ~1.5" indent around corner. ~3/4" crease/scuff/bend/cover peel at corner itself (both in photo#11 w/illumination), goes thru pages as an indent/bend that grows lighter as it travels. 3 pinhead dings near corner that show on ~14 pages. **Photo#7:-Front cover bottom edge: Adjacent small cover indent/depression near its middle that shows as an indent on ~12 pages, light adjacent ~1/2" indent/scratch towards outer corner. Otherwise, light shelf-scuffing/wear.-Outer corner: Small crease/scuff/bend/cover peel, goes thru ~1/2 pages as an indent/bend. **Photo#8: -Back cover top edge: Light shelf-scuffing, tiny scuff/ding near its middle, 2 tiny indents near outer corner. -Outer corner: 8 pinhead dings and some dirty patches near corner, 2 show on ~8 pages. **Photo#9:-Back cover bottom edge: Light shelf-scuffing/wear.-Outer corner: Light ~1.5" indent around corner, goes thru ~12 pages as a light depression. Tiny crease/scuff/bend/cover peel, goes thru ~1/2 pages as an indent/bend. **Additionally: Front cover's page edge has an adjacent ~1" cover crease towards the upper corner, and a small nearby one with some light scuffing around its middle (all in photo#11 w/illumination - some of the small scuffs show on ~12 pages). Light ~2" indent around upper spine corner. Light ~6" scratch/indent near cover's center, with two ~2.5" ones, three ~2" ones, and a ~1" one around (photos#12, 13 w/illumination). A few small dirty patches around cover's lower half. Back cover has two ~1"x~1/2" sticker residue/dirty patches near the bottom outer corner, and an additional small retailer's sticker still on it (they all might come off; I prefer not to mess with them). ~1" and nearby ~seven small creases/indents/depressions near cover's center (photo#14 w/illumination), some show on ~1/2 pages as light indents. Two very light ~4" horizontal scratches/indents around. Some tiny dirty patches towards the upper spine corner. Spine adhesive is beginning to lose its effectiveness where it meets at each inside cover, but is still fully attached. First inside cover page has a ~1"x~1" stamp of the letter "H" near the bottom outer corner. Inside back cover has some small/lighter moisture stains around its center from storage over time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit. I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots.
