Description: ****This is a beautiful wood block print by Japanese artist Ido Masao, titled: "Myoshinjo Kaisando." This piece is in excellent condition, dated to 1993, and is number 116 of 200. Ido was born in 1945 and passed away in 2016, with his name well known as a leading Japanese contemporary artists. He began working on silk and other fabrics before being inspired by other wood block prints, and finding his passion for them. He found inspiration around Kyoto and especially favored serene landscapes and traditional scenes of architecture and temples. This piece measures approximately 17 1/4 x 13 inches.
