Each page contains a photograph on both sides front and back. And it is important to note - both photos are on the same album page, one on each side. They cannot be separated. The Album page is slightly warped due to age, as shown in listing's photos. The images in this listings are of: 1. Elevation of the Cross (measures: 11" x 8 3/4")2. The Descent from the Cross (measures 11 1/4" x 8 3/4") The Albumen print was invented in France by Louis Blanquart-Evrard; and arose as a solution to the challenge faced by photographers with the chemistry involved in "fixing" (stabilizing) the actual image.
